Rock of Ages
Problem: Create an organic form using found objects with the following considerations:
1) It must be composed of found objects, then wrapped to bind the objects together (dry wall mesh seam tape), then stucco the form (dry wall joint compound).
2) There must be at least one opening on the surface that exposes the interior.
3) There may be considerations/choices made as to the outer texture.
Objective: To assimilate the basic principles of interior frame work (skeleton) and exterior form. And to become familiar with found object interpretation, 3D drawing, and to understand the importance of compositional hierarchies.
Materials: found objects, cardboard, and hot glue. Exact-o-knife/scissors/box cutter, dry wall compound.
